N-2-(AMINOETHYL)-3-AMINOPROPYLMETHYLDIMETHOXYSILANE
PROSILANE™ SC-1220
Product Description
A bifunctional organosilane with a primary and secondary amine group attached to a silane backbone. It contains methoxy groups that hydrolyze to form silanols, enabling strong bonding with inorganic surfaces such as glass, metals, and minerals. This chemical is widely used as a coupling agent, adhesion promoter, and surface modifier. SC-1220 is a diamino-functional silane capable of providing good adhesion and superior elongation and flexibility at the polymer-substrate interface. It is used to promote adhesion between glass, mineral, and metal surfaces. SC-1220 can be used as an adhesion promoter in polysulfide, polyvinyl chloride plastisol, silicone two-part urethanes and epoxy adhesives and sealants, and can be used as adhesion promoter in one-part silylated urethane adhesives and sealants. SC-1220 can be used as starting material in the synthesis of amino-functional silicones.
