PROSILANE™ SC-4100
Product Description
A functional silane coupling agent with both methacrylate and trimethoxysilane functionalities. It is widely used to enhance adhesion between organic polymers and inorganic substrates. It also serves as a crosslinking agent, surface modifier, and adhesion promoter in various applications. SC-4100 is used in adhesive and sealants cured via a free radical system such as; Acrylics, polyesters and polyurethanes. They are also used in many thermoplastics such as polyurethanes, PVC and polyolefins. SC-4100 Silane has a Methacryloxy functionality as well as a Methoxy silane functionality. This allows the SC-4100 Silane to be utilized in free radical cure adhesives and sealants. SC-4100 Silane bonds to inorganic substrates to provide excellent wet and dry adhesion as well as provide a fast hydrolysis rate.
