N-2-(AMINOETHYL)-3-AMINOPROPYLTRIMETHOXYSILANE

PROSILANE™ SC-1200

Product Description

N-[2-(Aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyl]trimethoxysilane is a bifunctional organosilane with both amine and alkoxysilane groups. The amine functionality reacts with organic materials, while the methoxy groups hydrolyze to form silanol groups, which bond with inorganic surfaces. This makes it highly effective as a coupling agent, adhesion promoter, and surface modifier in various applications. SC-1200 is a bifunctional organosilane possessing reactive primary amine and hydrolysable inorganic methoxysilyl groups. The dual nature of its reaction, it can organically bond inorganic materials and organic polymers. SC-1200 is an important additive in many fields: as glass fiber treatment agent, or wetting agent additives; primer for glass and metal; primer or adhesion promoter for sealants and adhesives; as an additive or primer to improve substrate adhesion for paints and coatings.
