Product Description

OH-40 Fluids is a 40sCt low viscosity silicone Fluids with 3.5% silanol Fluids with containing one silanol moiety (Si-OH) at each terminus of the polydimethylsiloxane chain. OH-40 is a versatile silicone Fluids that is employed in many different applications such as silicone rubber compounding, silicone foams, lubricants, mold release agents, personal care formulations, dehydrogenative coupling, rheological modifier, filler treatments, etc.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

    The shelf life, when the container is stored unopened and under proper conditions, is 18 months. It is recommended to ground the container when pouring or weighing a quantity into another container or vessel to eliminate the chance of a static discharge. OH Fluids must not be in contact or mixed with strong bases or alkali such as sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide to prevent the material from gelling or polymerizing. Mixing vessel and processing equipment must be clean and free of any strong basic contaminants.
